The 2010 Outlaws accomplished something that hadn't been done since 2002 - a victory in Round 1 of the playoffs. Traveling all the way to Memphis didn't phase them. A broken down bus in the middle of Arkansas didn't phase them. Playing on a field that had more sand than Galveston beach didn't phase them. 35-0 the Outlaws still prevailed.
The Outlaws second game of the season was against Aguillas Regias of Monterrey Mexico. The final score was Outlaws 54-0, but everyone was a winner in this game. This is the first year that the WFA has sported an international team, and without a doubt, every single Outlaw felt a little something special this week having the chance to meet and play with such an amazing and spirited group of young ladies from Mexico.

Everything felt different - bigger somehow - from the moment the Outlaws took the field to the sound of "uno, dos, tres..." being counted out during stretches, the Mexican National Anthem resounding through Chaparral Stadium, and to the very end when the Aguillas Regias ran to the Outlaw side of the stands after the handshakes and gave OUR crowd a traditional Mexican thank you chant.
The Austin Outlaws opened their 2010 season at home with a 7-6 win over Houston scoring on their opening drive. Despite a few turnovers at critical times, the offense generally moved the ball pretty well against the Houston team. The defense really came through with stops when they counted, and a missed extra point by Houston after their only TD sealed the deal.
